The company started its commercial operations in mid-2013-14. Thereafter, it continued with alcohol production during the years 2014-15 and 2015-16. After implementation of the Prohibition Law in Bihar in April 2016, the company stopped production of spirit and converted the existing unit with additional investments for production of Ethanol, which is being supplied to the oil companies, vis Indian Oil Corporation Limited, Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Limited and Bharat Petroleum Corporation Limited.
The commercial operation of the Ethanol plant commenced from June 16.
The main raw material for production of Ethanol is molasses.
